Akua Line of Inks Rebranding Complete.

We can finally show you some of the process from the rebrand project for Speedball Art Products. Akua® inks are professional quality, water-based inks created by two professional printmakers who were motivated to create safe, fume free inks. Once the unique product line was purchased by Speedball, it needed a major upgrade from where the brand was at that time (see photos in the gallery).

Below you will see some of the early phases of the design, plus a look at the original logo for the Akua brand as well as the original packaging we were tasked with updating. Sales have increased since the release of the updated brand, showing that good design does indeed make a difference!

And here’s the all new logo design:The ink swashes near the ‘A’ have been used as a branding element throughout the packaging, print ads, etc, which you can check out below.
